ORACLE, also known as Occult Research Alternative Combat League, is an organization. Their purpose is to investigate rumors of things that went bump in the night.

History[]
It was founded by Nathan Stewart to provide the United States with options. Director Stewart has been assigned to investigate rumors of things that went bump in the night, supernatural things that the nation's leaders were taking much more seriously after World War II. Hitler had spent enormous resources tracking down supernatural legends and rumors, and when the Allied Command saw the things he had uncovered, they began their own research. So they chose Nathan. The result was a government organization that answers to the president and employs people with skills outside the ordinary.
Overview[]
Oracle has some military components, such as security and strike elements. They were presenters at College Arcane and discussed improvements made in the gate-closing technology as well as the development of gate-opening devices.
Ranks/Class[]
The ranks include Paladin, Knight, and Champion. Oracle ranks untrained operatives as either Plebian or Noble.
- Plebian: They will likely never reach a field operator status but may end up as support personnel, guards, admin, analysts, and the like.
- Noble: It indicates a strong potential to achieve Paladin rank.
- Paladin: It is the standard operator classification.
- Knight: There are no strict definitions of Knight class, only a general concept that each Knight operator is strong enough to be the equivalent of three or more Paladins.
- Champion: It is a theoretical classification for individuals who might have the abilities of ten or more Knights. It was recently decided it was a viable theory and two Champion class individuals have been identified by Oracle senior management who are Chris Gordon and Tatiana Demidova.

- Ninety percent of Oracle active field agents are Paladin class.
- Only ten percent are in the Knight class.
- Chris Gordon and Director Nathan Stewart feel that every student in the College Arcane experiment has the potential for Paladin if not Knight classification.
- Chris Gordon feels at least one person in the College Arcane experiment has the potential for Champion classification but he says it's just a feeling and refuses to say which of the students he thinks it is.
- It has a budget smaller than the Department of Anomalous Activity aka the smallest budget.
