Chris Gordon is the main protagonist of the Demon Accords novels, short stories, serials, and prequel by John Conroe. The only part of the series he hasn't appeared in this far is the short story Black Frost.
After his immediate family was murdered in his childhood, he ostracized himself and learned various combat skills including but not limited to the use of firearms, knives, and martial arts.
As a young man, Chris moved to New York City where he worked as a police officer, and later a paranormal police officer. Most recently in the story, his job is to protect Earth from demons and aliens, and to uphold the Accords. Like most, Chris and Tanya are part of one of God's long-term plans.
Chris is a Warrior of God, the self-fallen angel Malahidael. He was sent to Earth to uphold the Accords made between God and Satan. His job is to exorcise the demons (also referred to as Hellbourne) sent to torment humanity. He does this through using his aura, targeted clairvoyance, and the giant shadow hawk he's affectionately named Kirby. He is regularly called upon by churches when regular exorcism methods are unsuccessful.
Throughout the story, he gains vampiric abilities and learns of his angelic ones and gains some werewolf characteristics. These include, but are not limited to super speed, enhanced strength, and enhanced senses. His strength makes him a very powerful combatant. With the help of his numerous allies, he fiercely protects the Earth and the people he cares about.
He is the father of Beowulf Gordon and Corella Gordon and he is the Chosen mate to Tatiana Demidova.
Appearance[]
Chris Gordon appears on the cover of "Winterfall: A Novel of the Demon Accords" (book 12 in the series) with his violet aura active around his arms. He describes himself as average-looking and physically fit with violet eyes. After being changed by ingesting the blood of the vampire princess, Tanya, he is more physically attractive and more often pursued by women.
Personality and Traits[]
Chris has a sense of honor, and knows that respect is earned not given. He is very levelheaded with good common sense, which he uses to tackle each new problem. He has a hero complex, is not afraid to die, and has gained control over his darker side (Grim).
"When I think back on it the overall impression I recall is power. Enormous barely constrained power, think nuclear bomb in a human body." |
