I've seen some comments on Blood Line being the last of the Demon Accords series, I really hope it isn't written as the last. So many series-ending books are ended just horribly and end up detracting from even wanting to go back and re-read books in the series. Books that I normally might have re-read many times. For some reasons authors feel like they need to kill off some characters that have no reason to be killed off, or they end love-interests in some messed up manner that leaves no one happy, There are so many characters and various "minor" events throughout the Demon Accords there isn't really a reason to end the series--end the story arc for now for the "God Hammer" and team but not end the series.

Caeco unfairly gets the worst of everything. The only positive thing to happen to her is she helps bring Declan out of his shell. Despite the two of them basically having their first romance together and not handling the breakup real well, she still handles it fine without being a pyscho. Despite being part of the wonder team that helped save Toni and that Team D is very fond of and indebted to, she gets the shaft. She ends up leaving Arcane where her few friends are, she ends up with a corrupt FBI, a corrupt federal government, her main role seems to be as the interface for the government to Declan and also Team D. I know she is stoic, and duty-driven, but everyone else around her gets their happily ever after while Caeco just gets abused. No vacations, no special person, no special victim(s) to take out frustrations on, just "go deliver a message for us to your old boyfriend that has moved so far beyond you and has a happiness you will never find."
